"Graffiti_ From the Underground to the Mainstream"

This cool outrageous film, "Exit through the gift shop", tells something about this theme from "the underground to the mainstream... It's a must see!
And I humbly have something to say too... I've studied a bit about the amazing art work of Graffiti and Street art!

(...)"The language of subversive art emerges as a new code that speaks for itself in the amid of a urban, capitalist, consumerism and global context. Claims public space in a territory not yet occupied, also competing with advertising, but to subvert their messages it is also to encroach the common area.
The act of doing graffiti raises the existence of man in the world. It leaves its legacy, their signature, their message or artwork, so they know of its existence and emerge from anonymity to fame and go to eternity.(...)

(...) "A linguagem subversiva ou artística surge como um novo código que fala por si, no meio de um contexto urbano, capitalista, consumista e global. Reclama um território no espaço público que ainda não foi ocupado, competindo também com a publicidade, ao subverter as suas mensagens que também são usurpadoras do espaço comum.
O acto de fazer graffitis eleva a existência do homem no mundo. Este deixa o seu legado, a sua assinatura, a sua mensagem ou arte, para que saibam da sua existência e para sair do anonimato e passar para a fama ou para a eternidade."(...)
